Vintage Serving Pieces...
Pieces are old and have some flaws that are listed below. However, we ask you to please view all photos carefully to get a better idea of condition.
These would look so good on display in a farmhouse setting...especially with the red stripe closely resembling grain sack stripes.
First piece is a Serving Bowl. 8.75" in diameter at opening, 1.5" tall. Has a small spot of discoloration on interior, crazing to interior and very bottom.
4 Custard Cups. 2.5" high, 3.25" in diameter a opening. One cup has hairline crack that extends from interior to exterior, one cup has two hairline cracks with one extending to exterior, one cup has three hairline cracks with two extending to exterior- all are still solid and show no fragility. Small flea bite on side edge of one, chip to bottom base of one, slight paint loss on all.
All are marked on the bottom "Protected by Design Pat. 107564-65-65, Universal Potteries Inc., Cambridge, O., Made in United States of America, National Brotherhood of Operative Potters, Ovenproof, Other Pats Pending."
