A Large Impressive! Sculpture/Bust by
Richard Aurili (1834-1914)...an Italian sculpture acknowledged for his
bust and other works that were exhibited in the Salon Des Artistes
Francais (The Paris Salon) in the late 1800's.

Floreal, for which
this piece is named, was the eighth month in the French Republican
Calendar. The month was named after the Latin word flos, which means
flower...suitably displayed within the sculpture.

Material is likely a patinated plaster or terracotta that has been completely coated in bronze. It has survived beautifully with minor wear commensurate with age. Artist signature on
base.
Measures 18" high x 20" long x 10" depth

Preowned. Minor wear, commensurate with age. Overall, excellent condition as shown in photos.
